Are store managers required to relocate on a regular basis?

No. Candidates are asked to be as flexible as possible when accepting their first store assignment; however, Orscheln strives to place candidates in their geographic preference.  After being successfully assigned to a store the store manager is not subject to forced relocation.  Promotional opportunities are posted internally and interested Store Managers
with a minimum of one year at their current location are encouraged to consider stores of interest, but are not required to relocate.  

Does Orscheln Farm & Home have internships for retail store management?

No. However, we do have an Associate Store Manager Trainee Education Assistance
Program for Junior and Senior college students.  If the students are interested in pursuing
retail management with Orscheln Farm & Home, we encourage them to pursue part-time
employment opportunities at the Orscheln Farm & Home store near their college or
university and inquire about this great benefit.
